Portrait Painting
Commissions are open! Let me paint your favorite people.
All portraits are original oil paintings, made to order, by me. I use high quality, professional oil paints on cradled 3/4-inch deep wood panels. By default, your painting will come unframed. You can hang it straight onto your wall as is, or I can frame it for you in a simple floating frame for an additional cost.

Stillbirth and Neonatal Loss Portraits
With the loss of an infant, sharing images can be delicate. A painted portrait is a way for you to control how your child is presented. I will work with you to create an image of your child, in the way you desire to share them. This might be an edited image including their face, restoring them to a healthy appearance, or it may be a part of their body- a hand, a foot, an ear- any part you wish to remember.
These memorial portraits are offered at a 10% reduced rate.
9 x 12: $120
11 x 14: $180
12 x 16: $220
16 x 20: $300

Extras
If you would like your painting framed, I can add that for an additional $50 per painting. The frame will be a minimal black “float frame”. Floating frames leave a small gap around all edges of the painting, for a classic, clean presentation.
If your painting needs to be shipped, it will incur an additional cost. Contact me for an estimate based on location and shipping speed.
Here’s how to order.
Start by sending me a message! Tell me about your person and your plans for your painting. Is it a gift, or will you keep this one? Let me know what size you would like, and if it is a single or double portrait. I will get back to you within 2 business days.
The next step is to provide me with photographs. To make sure your painting is true to life, clear, in-focus, (ideally) unedited pictures are needed. They don’t need to be professional. You can take them with your smart phone, or scroll through your Camera Roll and find one you love. Better photograph = better painting.
If you can’t provide a super good quality photograph (say, for instance, if this person is no longer with you), still reach out! Show me what you have, and I will let you know honestly what I can do.
Once we’ve got your photographs decided and we have a vision for the painting, I will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit. I can start on your painting once I’ve received your deposit. This deposit is refundable until I start painting.
Turnaround time: I work on paintings in the order that I receive them. If you need the painting by a certain date, please let me know upfront, so that I can have your painting dry and complete in time. Oil paintings take 1-2 weeks to be dry to the touch. Know that depending on the number of orders I have, it could take 8-12 weeks before your painting is ready. I will let you know when I’ve started on your painting, and keep in touch along the way.
I look forward to working with you.
